Job Summary
Cedar Park Med is hiring an experienced Pathologist Assistant for a Level one Trauma Center setting. This role requires the ability to perform the majority of patient care functions with minimal orientation and supervision while supporting physicians nurses and clinical operations in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule / Shift
- Day shift 8-hour shifts 5 days a week
- 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (rotating schedule)
- No weekends and no holidays
- 13-week assignment with possible extension
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in health sciences from a NAACLS (National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences) accredited Pathologists Assistant training program and ASCP (or eligible) required.
- Must be able to meet any current NYS Department of Health and Education Department requirements for Pathologist Assistant License.

- Experience in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Surgical Pathology Gross Room.
- Responsible for all activities in the absence of the Pathologists Assistant Supervisor.
- Organize plan delegate implement and participate as needed in completing tasks in consultation with the Supervisor Department Managers and Section Medical Director.
