Our Licensing and Approvals Branch within the Biodiversity and Heritage Regulator Division is currently seeking to appoint a Product Manager to lead the delivery of digital products that support biodiversity licensing approvals and regulatory functions across NSW. This is a senior leadership role focused on shaping and delivering technology solutions that enable effective regulation and strong environmental outcomes.

In this role you will lead endtoend digital transformation initiatives working closely with operational teams policy stakeholders ICT partners and external vendors. You will be responsible for defining current and futurestate business needs prioritising features and functionality overseeing delivery and supporting implementation and adoption. The team values collaboration continuous improvement and shared ownership and you will work across a diverse stakeholder portfolio that includes compliance and approvals teams senior leaders steering committees and service providers.

About You

You are an accomplished digital or product leader with demonstrated experience delivering complex technology-enabled change in a large regulated or public-sector environment. You bring strong expertise in product management digital transformation or project delivery including defining business requirements prioritising features managing interdependencies and leading implementation from discovery through to adoption. You understand how to balance strategic outcomes with practical delivery and you are comfortable operating with competing priorities tight timeframes and evolving requirements.

Equally important you are a confident communicator and trusted advisor who builds credibility with a wide range of stakeholders. You excel at translating complex technical concepts into clear actionable insights and influencing decision-making at senior levels. You lead with integrity resilience and curiosity supporting your team through change while fostering collaboration accountability and continuous learning. Tertiary qualifications in IT project management or a related field (or equivalent experience) will support your success along with a passion for using digital solutions to improve regulatory outcomes and customer experience.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the successful development and implementation of digital transformation initiatives including scoping planning and delivering agreed results within defined timeframes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology Project Management or a relevant field or equivalent experience
