Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to manage and optimize production schedules resource allocation and workflow processes. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production operations meeting delivery timelines and maintaining optimal inventory levels while coordinating with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on customer demand and project requirements
- Coordinate with procurement inventory and production teams to ensure material availability
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Analyze production data and generate reports for management review
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower machinery and resources
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure minimum stock shortages or excess
- Collaborate with quality maintenance and logistics teams for smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with company standards safety regulations and client requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field
- 4 to 5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering environments preferred
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling techniques
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP Oracle or similar)
- Good understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Ability to analyze production data and prepare reports
- Familiarity with MS Excel and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques
