Job Summary
Position Title: Product Engineer
Department: Product & Services
Reporting To: Manager Product
Location: Head Office Kolkata
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Purpose
Role Purpose
To ensure technical accuracy specification integrity compliance execution support and effective vendor coordination for new and existing products by executing product development tasks as per defined processes standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate product specifications and ensure revision control
- Coordinate with vendors for sample development validation and approvals
- Support compliance execution (IS / IEC / ASTM basic level)
- Evaluate product samples against defined specifications
- Maintain technical documentation data records and reports
- Provide technical support and resolve product-related queries
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards
- Identify technical issues and escalate deviations proactively.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Specification Accuracy: 95% first-time approval
- Sample Approval Success Rate: 90% first-time approval
- Checklist Completion: 90% adherence
- Technical Query TAT: Response within 2 working days
- Audit/Review Accuracy: 98% accuracy
Requirements
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial / Polymer preferred)
- Experience: 23 years in Product Engineering / Technical Coordination / QA support
- Must-Have: Technical specs understanding attention to detail quality basics vendor coordination documentation discipline
- Nice-to-Have: IS/IEC/ASTM exposure sample testing polymer knowledge Excel skills product launch exposure
