Key Responsibilities
Financial Recording & Reporting: Maintaining accurate up-to-date ledger balances journals and financial statements (balance sheets profit/loss).
Compliance & Tax: Computing taxes preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
Reconciliation & Auditing: Reconciling bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable and performing internal audits.
Financial Analysis: Analyzing data to suggest improvements for cost reduction revenue enhancement and profitability.
Budgeting: Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting for future financial performance.

Requirements and Skills
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or relevant field.
Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Oracle NetSuite Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills (macros pivot tables).
Analytical Skills: High attention to detail and ability to spot numerical inaccuracies.
Ethics: High integrity in handling confidential financial information.

Common Duties
Managing monthly quarterly and annual closings.
Handling payroll processing.
Balancing ledger accounts.
Liaising with external auditors
Required Skills:
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
