Job Summary
Fabrication Engineer designs develops and oversees manufacturing processescutting bending welding and assembling materials like metal or compositesto create components for industries such as automotive aerospace and construction. Core Responsibilities
Process Development: Creating detailed fabrication plans sequencing and manufacturing procedures to meet design specifications.
Design & Technical Review: Interpreting blueprints and utilizing CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) to review for producibility and suggest improvements.
Production Oversight: Supervising shop floor technicians and ensuring machinery (CNC welding lasers) operates efficiently.
Quality & Safety Control: Performing quality tests and enforcing adherence to industry safety environmental and quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnosing equipment failures and developing predictive/preventative maintenance for tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in welding machining sheet metal processes and material sciences.
Software Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM simulation tools (e.g. Ansys) and ERP systems.
Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities project management communication and attention to detail.
