Job Summary
re Site Engineer oversees the installation testing and maintenance of fire protection systems (sprinklers alarms suppression) to ensure compliance with safety codes. They supervise site activities coordinate with contractors conduct inspections and prepare technical reports for project handover.

Key Responsibilities
Installation Supervision: Supervise the installation of fire suppression and detection systems ensuring they meet approved shop drawings specs and local building codes.
Testing and Commissioning: Conduct inspections functional tests and commissioning of fire systems including sprinkler systems fire alarms and fire hydrants.
Site Management: Coordinate day-to-day labor monitor materials and maintain site safety records.
Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports Material Inspection Reports (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR).
Compliance & Coordination: Ensure systems comply with relevant codes such as the National Building Code (NBC) and liaise with consultants contractors and clients.
Troubleshooting: Identify design deficiencies and provide technical solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
Experience: Usually 38 years of experience in fire fighting/protection preferably within construction environments.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinkler deluge FM200 fire alarms).
Soft Skills: Strong communication attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Requirements: Often requires a driving license for site travel.
