Financial Controller

The Role

As Financial Controller you will lead all daytoday financial operations while strengthening controls improving reporting and ensuring the business has the financial insight it needs to scale. Youll work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team acting as both a technical expert and a commercial partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function including monthend yearend and statutory reporting
  
• Produce accurate management accounts KPIs and boardlevel insight
  
• Oversee budgeting forecasting cashflow management and working capital
  
• Strengthen financial controls processes and compliance
  
• Partner with operational teams to understand performance and drive profitability
  
• Manage relationships with auditors banks and external advisors
  
• Support stock management margin analysis and costtoserve reporting
  
• Lead continuous improvement across systems processes and reporting
  
• Provide handson support where needed in a lean fastmoving environment
  
  

Requirements

Experience Required

• Qualified or QBE accountant with strong technical grounding
  
• Experience in distributions logistics wholesale or productbased environment is highly advantageous
  
• Proven track record in a Financial Controller Finance Manager or No.2 finance role
  
• Strong understanding of financial reporting controls and cash management
  
• Comfortable operating in an SME or ownermanaged business
  
• Ability to balance handson work with strategic input
  
• Confident communicator who can influence nonfinance stakeholders
