EduTalent Group are supporting a primary school in Deal who are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEMH support for a Key Stage 2 pupil in Year 5 with an immediate start available.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will join a supportive and inclusive primary setting working closely with a KS2 pupil who requires consistent emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.

Job Description
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 (Year 5) pupil with SEMH needs
Support emotional regulation behaviour and engagement in learning
Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
Assist the class teacher in delivering accessible learning activities
Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce school routines
Support social development and independence skills
Help maintain a calm safe and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with teaching staff and SEN leadership to follow individual support plans
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH experience desirable but not essential)
Calm patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain consistent and supportive in challenging situations
Team player with a proactive attitude
Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
