EduTalent Group are supporting a primary school in Deal who are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEMH support for a Key Stage 2 pupil in Year 5 with an immediate start available.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will join a supportive and inclusive primary setting working closely with a KS2 pupil who requires consistent emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.

Job Description
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 (Year 5) pupil with SEMH needs
- Support emotional regulation behaviour and engagement in learning
- Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
- Assist the class teacher in delivering accessible learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce school routines
- Support social development and independence skills
- Help maintain a calm safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN leadership to follow individual support plans
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH experience desirable but not essential)
Calm patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain consistent and supportive in challenging situations
Team player with a proactive attitude
Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
