Job Summary
Delivery Driver North York
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering food products providing excellent customer service and supporting warehouse/store operations.
Skills Knowledge & Requirements:
- Valid G drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Physically fit; able to lift carry and move items up to 6070 lbs repeatedly
- Strong communication and customer service skills (English fluency required)
- Previous professional driving experience is an asset
- Ability to work in varying weather temperature and road conditions
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide product information (specifications cooking storage and handling instructions)
- Deliver and unload food products at customer locations
- Manually sort and transport 100500 cases per shift using ramps and occasional stairs
- Operate POS (point-of-sale) system and process customer payments
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Stock shelves walk-in freezers and display units
- Assist other drivers with deliveries when needed
- Manage time effectively to complete daily routes within store hours
- Assemble boxes and package products
- Prepare samples for sales representatives
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and work areas
- Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:30 AM 3:00 PM
- Paid breaks included
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced physically demanding role
- Exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions
Compensation:
- $20.00/hour during training and probation (first 3 months)
