Azure Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect with expertise in Azure and Databricks to join our dynamic team in Belgium. You will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing modern data solutions to drive business intelligence analytics and data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong technical background in cloud-based data platforms and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Architect design and implement scalable data solutions using Azure cloud services and Databricks.
  

• Define data architecture standards best practices and governance models.
  

• Lead the end-to-end design of data lakes data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  

• Work closely with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  

• Optimize data storage processing and security within the Azure ecosystem.
  

• Develop strategies for data ingestion transformation and orchestration.
  

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members
  

Requirements

• Proven experience (5 years) as a Data Solution Architect or similar role.
  

• Strong expertise in Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Azure SQL etc.).
  

• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering analytics and machine learning workloads.
  

• Proficiency in Python SQL and Spark.
  

• Experience with data modeling governance and security best practices.
  

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a data environment.
  

• Familiarity with Kafka Event Hubs or similar streaming technologies is a plus.
  

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  

• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
