Were currently searching for a Coordinator to join our Residential Well-being team in Blacksburg VA to help us in our mission. HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) Youll be joining the Residential Well-being team; a department centered on creating intentional residential communities that are characterized by belonging flourishing compassion for self and others and meaningful engagement.
2) Youll be reporting to a Managing Director in Residential Well-being and the Assistant Director in a Regular twelve-month 100% administrative professional appointment.
3) Youll be responsible for empowering all residential students to engage across differences and find meaningful belonging in the campus community.
4) Youll identify trends and opportunities for dialogue intervention and programming to provide experiences that foster an environment of acceptance and civility where students can share who they are and connect with others from different backgrounds identities and perspectives.
5) Youll lead a team of approximately 15-20 Residential Well-being Student Leaders who live in the residence halls and work to ensure that every student is engaged at the optimal level.
6) Youll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
7) Youll be offered a base compensation package between $44000 - $46000 with an on-campus apartment or $50000 - $52000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance paid leave retirement tuition assistance VT discounts and so much more!

3) THE TEAM: At Virginia Tech Residential Well-being refers to a collaborative vision & effort by partners across the Division of Student Affairs such as Hokie Wellness the Dean of Students office and Experience VT. The Residential Well-being office operates as a matrix organization where coordinators have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team that serves a district of approximately 2000 students as well as belonging to a team of fellow coordinators from other districts who work with an expert leader from the coordinating department.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field
Be team-oriented and demonstrate adaptability and initiative
Demonstrate vision and creativity in program design and promotion as well as strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrate a growth mindset and embrace change as an opportunity for creativity learning and improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a relevant field
Experience with campus-wide engagement and strategic planning
Creativity in identifying brainstorming implementing and evaluating programs and services to build welcoming communities that foster belonging.
Ability to respond effectively to crises
Experience working with students in a complex educational setting
Overtime Status
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime
