Selective Wave Operator
Hourly Salary Rate: $24.00-$25.00/hr
Work Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 AM-2:30 PM)
Job Description:
Perform preventive maintenance of wave soldering equipment.
Prepares boards for machine soldering operation clean boards and masks designated areas. Inspect PCBs for defects.
Responsible for the set-up and operation of wave soldering machine used in soldering of PCB under limited supervision.
Perform preventive maintenance of wave soldering equipment including de-drossing according to VM Services procedures.
Checks circuit boards in process for missing solder solder bridges missing parts and lifted parts.
Set up calibrate and operate wave and selective soldering machines to ensure precise solder joints on PCB assemblies. Inspect soldered boards for defects using visual inspection techniques and measurement tools such as calipers and ohmmeters.
Follow detailed schematics IPC 610 standards (industry specifications for electronic assemblies) and manufacturing instructions to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements:
Familiar with JT Industries CO WS-450PC-B soldering machine and KISS selective soldering machine.
Minimum of two years experience in programmable wave soldering machine operations.
Experience in water soluble no-clean and lead free solder applications in processes.
Strong knowledge of PCB design assembly processes and surface mount technology (SMT).
Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic component assembly quality.
Ability to read work instructions and procedures.
Ability to read and identify through-hole components.
Good communication skills.
Experience in contract manufacturing.
Strong writing and speaking skills.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Ability to work cooperatively in team environment.
