As a Team Leader Distribution at Thermo Fisher Scientific youll help achieve excellence in warehouse operations while contributing to global scientific advancement. Leading a team in our facilities youll ensure efficient accurate and compliant handling of vital materials that enable our customers to make breakthrough discoveries. This role combines operational leadership with process improvement to maintain our high standards of safety quality and service excellence.
Youll coordinate daily warehouse activities develop teams and optimize processes through Lean methodologies and our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) framework. Youll collaborate across functions to ensure seamless operations while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP safety regulations and quality standards. This position offers opportunities to enhance supply chain operations while contributing to Thermo Fishers mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree with no prior experience or Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of warehouse operations experience preferably in regulated environments
Preferred Fields of Study: Business Supply Chain Operations Management or related field
Advanced certifications in logistics quality systems or Lean manufacturing beneficial
2 years proven leadership experience managing teams
Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of cGMP safety regulations and quality management systems
Forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean/5S
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading teams and cross-functional collaboration
Proven ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various temperature environments
Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
Expertise in inventory management and cycle counting procedures
Demonstrated success in developing and motivating teams
Ability to maintain detailed documentation and regulatory compliance records
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $27.00$34.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
