Job Title: Cook
Location: Georgia Regional Hospital Savannah
Schedule: Monday Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for meal service periods
- Follow proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens grills steamers and fryers
- Assist with menu planning and portion control as needed
- Coordinate with food service staff to ensure smooth meal service
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen work area
- Adhere to all safety infection control and health department regulations
Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant cafeteria healthcare facility or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety principles and proper cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required (training available)
- Must be available to work Monday Friday as scheduled
