As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive gastroenterology consultations and treatment plans
Perform endoscopic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients and their families about treatment options and preventative care
Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Adhere to all medical protocols and regulations

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
Previous experience in a clinical setting preferably in gastroenterology
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Current state medical license to practice in Augusta
Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: Monday-Sunday 7a-7p specific dates

No call required

Daily Volume: 20-30 patients 3-7 procedures Monday-Thursday

Cases: Procedures rounding and consults

Must be able to do ERCP

APP support

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
