Job title: LA Senior Counsel ( Remote/Hybrid)

Location: Los Angeles CA

Salary:$235000 - $290000/year

What You Will Be Doing

• Handle bothlitigation and non-litigation employment law matters
• Collaborate with partners oncase strategy and execution
• Managesingle-plaintiff and complex class/collective action cases
• Leaddefense-side litigation efforts including:
  • Discovery strategy and execution
  • Taking and defending depositions (including plaintiffs)
  • Drafting motions (including dispositive motions)
  • Court appearances
• Work with and manageexpert witnesses
• Engage insettlement negotiations mediation and conferences
• Prepare cases fortrial and arbitration
• Independently managefull lifecycle of litigation including:
  • Opposing class certification
  • Motion practice
  • Trial preparation and management

Experience You Will Need

• 8 years of employment/labor litigation experience (California)
• Strong preference formanagement-side (defense) experience
• Proven experience handling:
  • Class actions / PAGA matters (preferred)
  • Complex litigation from start to finish
• Ability toindependently manage caseswith minimal supervision
• Strong exposure to:
  • Discovery
  • Depositions
  • Motion practice
  • Trial preparation
• Excellent:
  • Writing skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Client interaction / people skills
• Ability to thrive in acollaborative yet autonomous environment

Skill Matrix

Must-Have

• 8 years employment litigation experience (California)
• Licensed and in good standing withCalifornia Bar
• Strong litigation skills (discovery motions depositions trial prep)

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Active license to practice law inCalifornia (required)
