Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Solar Industry
Location: Nairobi Kenya
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a strong background in the solar industry to manage and oversee warehouse operations in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling solar products such as panels inverters batteries and related components ensuring efficient inventory control and timely distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving storage and dispatch of solar products
- Ensure proper handling and storage of solar equipment (panels inverters batteries accessories) to avoid damage
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits
- Coordinate with procurement logistics and sales teams for smooth order fulfillment
- Monitor inbound shipments (especially imports) and ensure proper documentation and clearance coordination
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards especially for handling electrical and sensitive equipment
- Manage warehouse staff including training scheduling and performance monitoring
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 46 years of warehouse experience with mandatory exposure to solar products
- Strong knowledge of solar components such as PV modules inverters batteries and mounting structures
- Experience in inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Good understanding of import/export processes and documentation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Engineering or related field
- Experience working with solar distributors EPC companies or renewable energy firms
