Electrical AC EHV Proposal Engineer

Qualification Skills and Experience requirement

1. Degree in Electrical Engg; 6-7 years design & engineering experience in designing AC EHV systems for substations transmission lines GSS bays and interconnections with solar power generation inverters

Proficiency in handling engineering software like: AutoCAD ETAP DigSilent power factory and other Power system design modeling & analysis software and general software like Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint etc

• Proficiency in carrying out or assessing full range of power system studies done for interconnecting solar power generation plants with grid at HV & EHV levels
  
• Proficiency in AC side Electrical system design and standards (IEC/ UL/ European)
  
• Proficiency in equipment selection for different plant sizes and voltages; knowledge of reliability and performance history of various makes and models of PV system equipment
  
• Proficiency in preparation of electrical schemes AC SLDs and equipment specification & GTPs for substation and transmission system equipment Multi winding IDTs Harmonics grounding measures Power Transformers Breakers isolators CTs. PTs PLCC panels metering equipment C&R panels SCADA system cables cable connectors fittings & accessories metering & protection equipment Fire & Safety equipment earthing systems etc
  
• Proficiency in estimating Bill of quantities for all electrical equipment consumables spares safety equipment earthing material and testing instruments
  
• Proficiency in evaluating vendor provided data to assess suitability for acceptance
  
• Understanding of communication protocols and substation automation & Control mandated by various powergrid utilities and include required communication system in estimates
  
• Good English written and verbal Communication skills to interact with technical teams of customers vendors and internal team members
  
• Understanding of QAPs MQPs and FQPs for the designed equipment
  
• Techno-Commercial understanding of standard and special features of equipment and of cost levels and supply times associated with standard/ special features
  
• Ability to optimize solution with respect to targeted application
  
• Ability to work with remotely located teams
  
• Comfortable in operating with teams under time pressure; flexibility in work hours if required
  
• Ability to produce Proposal quality documents an technical presentations
  

Job Description

1. Prepare Technical bid documents as per RFQs / discussions with the customers

2. Provide clarifications when required till closure

3. Float enquiries to vendors and service providers when required to obtain supporting bids for EPC bids

4. Create Vendor and Equipment database for bidding purpose

5. Support Detailed engg team by keeping all proposal records and handing over at execution stage

6. Support Commercial teams in formulating a cost competitive but technically strong solutions
