Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for a leading Nursing Home in County Wexford.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager

Responsibilities
  • Making certain that the best clinical standards and home policies are consistently followed.
  • Keep an eye on the nursing staffs compliance and drug administration.
  • Create a monthly stock inventory and place monthly orders for goods.
  • Collaborate and maintain a visible presence with the Care Assistants and Staff Nurses.
  • Work with the director of nursing to take part in staff nurse and care assistant performance reviews and training.
  • Examine recent admissions to make sure that the necessary planning execution and assessment of care are recorded.
  • Capacity to support the Director of Nursing in all duties so that in the event of an annual leave of absence the function can be efficiently assumed.
  • Take charge of daily tasks such as monitoring and updating rosters as needed participating in handovers and assessing resident advancement.
  • Support and enhance clinical practice by working directly with staff nurses and care assistants.


Requirements

  • BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification.

  • Registered on the NMBI Live Register.

  • Previous managerial training and/or experience (advantageous).

  • Demonstrated excellent leadership organisational and communication skills.

  • Proven sound clinical and managerial decision-making ability.

  • Ability to motivate self and others and work effectively on own initiative.

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive team environment.

  • Required Skills:
