We are currently recruiting a Senior Social Worker for a leading hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Mode of Working: On-site
Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hours of Work:37 hours per week / 74 hours per fortnight.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a modern high-quality Social Work service within the Hospital.
- Contribute to strategic and operational development initiatives across the organisation.
- Actively participate in the Clinical Governance Committee supporting the implementation of strategic and operational plans.
- Ensure Social Work services are planned delivered and evaluated to the highest clinical standards in line with national and local requirements.
- Provide services within a legally compliant and ethically sound framework.
- Deliver efficient effective and cost-conscious Social Work services within allocated resources.
- Support and promote research teaching and academic development including collaboration with associated institutions such as Trinity College Dublin.
- Provide professional Social Work support to patients families and carers particularly within rehabilitation services.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate care programmes using evidence-based practices maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while supporting the education training and supervision of student social workers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Registered with or eligible for registration on the Social Worker Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.
- Hold a recognised degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and be eligible for membership with the Irish Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum of five years full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions particularly in rehabilitation settings.
- Significant experience in homeless services and forensic mental health environments.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams with strong knowledge of Clinical Governance principles and practices.
- Experience in teaching supervision and practice education of student social workers with a commitment to ongoing staff development.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of health and safety standards and relevant statutory regulations within healthcare settings.
