What Youll Do
Seekingan experienced Quality Manager Rail Track Works to lead the implementation and oversight of the Project Quality Management System for rail infrastructure works on a successful candidate will ensure that all track construction and related activities meet contractual requirements regulatory standards and industrys best practices.
Leadership & Oversight
Lead mentor and support Quality Coordinators Inspectors and other quality team members across assigned project areas.
Oversee the execution of all quality control activitiesidentifiedin Quality Plans procedures and ITPs to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for quality issues within assigned disciplines or zones.
Quality Assurance & Control
Ensure compliance withMetrolinxspecifications contract documents and ISO 9001 requirements.
Ensure inspections and tests are conductedin accordance withapproved ITPs and applicable standards verifying that quality documentation isaccurate complete and properlymaintained.
Review and approve test packages and inspection documentation prior to release.
Lead the evaluation of construction work performed byONxpressCivil Contractors suppliers and subcontractors ensuring conformance with PA requirements IFC drawings and specifications.
Oversee verification of equipment required for testing or inspection to ensure it is fit for purpose properlycalibrated and adequatelymaintained.
NonConformance Management
Oversee the identification reporting and disposition of nonconformances ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly and effectively.
Control the further processing installation or use of noncompliant work or materials until corrective measures are completed.
Conduct trend analysis of recurring issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate all quality-related activities with other Quality Managers internal teams subcontractors and third-party agencies including Contracting Authority Utilities and Government Authorities.
Support audits surveillance activities and external inspections.
Communicate quality performance metrics and issues to leadership.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Ensure quality records are properly prepared stored andmaintainedin accordance withproject and ISO requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Contribute toupdates ofQuality Plans procedures and ITPs as needed.
What You Bring
A degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management ora relatedfield.
7 years of experiencein heavy civil construction with at least23 years in a supervisory or quality management rolepreferably inrailway or transit infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of construction processes quality management systems and regulatory requirements (Ontario experience preferred).
Proven experience leading teams and coordinating quality control activities across complex construction projects.
Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
Proficiencyin MS Office document control systems and digital QC tools.
Experience conducting audits and managingstandardscompliance.
ISO 9001:2015 Lead or Internal Auditor certification is an asset and ISO QMS experience is strongly preferred.
Expected compensation for this role is between $130000.00-$150000.00annually. Base salaries aredeterminedaccording to multiple factors including skillsexperienceand potential impact on the role.
