Job Summary

$2500 Sign-On Bonus (per diem; requires meeting minimum hours per agreement)

Schedule: Three (3) shifts per calendar month Regularly covering weekend shifts is expected Two (2) holidays per year.

What Youll Do in This Role:

Join a 5-Star retirement community on a beautiful 58-acre campus with a rich history of excellence in senior care and a truly supportive team culture. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in providing rehabilitative services to the elderly with mental physical emotional or developmental impairments.

Key Responsibilities

Works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan implement or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments.
Monitors patients performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement.
Assists in instructing patients and families in home programs basic living skills or the care and use of adaptive equipment.
Observes and records patients progress attitudes and behavior and maintains this information in client records.
Reports to supervisors on patients progress attitudes and behavior.
Performs clerical duties.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Graduate of an accredited Therapy program
1 -2 years of related experience
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license
Excellent verbal and written communication
Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance
