Description of Work
The Business Systems Analyst position is responsible for the administration support and security of the NC Financial System (NCFS).The role involves analyzing system and operational issues assessing financial impact and implementing effective solutions. The position serves as a key resource for system security financial operations and user support ensuring the integrity efficiency and compliance of financial systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as a primary Security Administrator for the NC Financial System (NCFS) ensuring proper access controls and compliance
Analyze system and operator issues determine financial impact and develop and implement solutions
Provide functional and technical support to over 1100 users across multiple departments
Support and maintain core financial modules including Accounts Payable General Ledger Budgetary Control Financial Controller functions Inventory P- Card Net Plus Core Banking
Perform data analysis and reporting using NCFS OTBI and Microsoft Excel
Participate in system upgrades including testing and validation prior to production deployment
Assist with NCID maintenance and other system administration responsibilities
Develop maintain and update system documentation manuals and standard operating procedures
Create and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for users (individual and group settings)
Support financial system processes related to security inventory accounts payable and purchasing
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve system functionality and business processes
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $57983.00 - $101470.00 Annually.

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Advanced knowledge of NCFS modules and related financial systems with a concentration on the Manufacturing and Inventory Modules.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing multiple warehouses and inventory processes.
Proficiency in report development and system troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and training skills

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule and requires onsite reporting within Raleigh NC.
About the Division:
The Controllers Office ensures that all department financial resources are received disbursed recorded and accounted for in accordance with State and Federal laws Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and agency policies. At the agency level the Controllers Office oversees the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) for all financial transactions affecting the department and is accountable to the State Controller for data integrity.
