Step into a specialist estimating role supporting some of Western Australias most technically demanding projects.

A well-established cost consultancy with deep roots in the resources and heavy industrial sectors is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its Perth team. Known for providing independent commercially focused advice across mining energy and infrastructure developments the firm works closely with major operators EPC contractors and engineering groups across the full project lifecycle.

With a strong pipeline of work across WA and a reputation built on technical accuracy and sector expertise this is an opportunity to contribute to complex large-scale developments where cost certainty and risk management are critical to project success. You will work alongside experienced estimators and quantity surveyors in a collaborative delivery-focused environment.

About the Role

This position will focus on preparing detailed cost estimates for major industrial packages including Electrical & Instrumentation (ENI) and Structural Mechanical & Piping (SMP/SNP) scopes across mining energy and infrastructure projects. You will provide accurate cost modelling to support tendering feasibility and project planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for ENI and SMP/SNP packages across project stages
Analyse drawings specifications and scopes to develop accurate pricing models
Review tender documentation contractor submissions and procurement strategies
Provide input into risk assessments contingencies and value engineering options
Maintain cost databases and benchmarking relevant to the WA resources sector
Collaborate with engineers project managers and procurement teams
Support variations claims and financial reporting as required

Skills & Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying Engineering Construction Management or similar
Approximately 57 years estimating experience within resources mining energy or heavy industrial projects
Strong understanding of ENI and/or SMP/SNP scopes
Experience with estimating software such as CostX Candy or similar tools
Solid knowledge of procurement processes and contractor engagement
Strong analytical and commercial skills with high attention to detail
Confident communication skills for working in a client-facing environment
