Job Summary

Managing Agent Contract Manager

Salary 47135 to 52000 per year (depending on skills and experience) plus health cash plan and 34 days leave

Permanent Full-time (37.5 hpw)

Hybrid working based from our London (Liverpool St) or Reading office covering the south region

This is a new role at Home Group to strengthen how we manage external managing agents across our estates. You wont be stepping into an established team or inherited processes youll be shaping the role the relationships and the approach from the ground up.

Your initial priority will be embedding managing agents setting clear expectations and building strong effective working relationships that deliver safe compliant and customerfocused services. Were looking for someone confident operating with autonomy able to hit the ground running and comfortable bringing structure where it doesnt yet exist.

If you have a solid background in leasehold estate management or social housing and youre experienced in managing external agents or partners this is a chance to make a real and lasting impact.

What youll do

  • Establish and own managing agent relationships embedding expectations around service delivery compliance and performance

  • Hold managing agents to account using your judgement and influence to address issues quickly and effectively

  • Monitor compliance risk and value for money ensuring services meet legal regulatory and lease obligations

  • Build strong relationships with managing agents and internal stakeholders balancing challenge with collaboration

  • Use data and insight to track performance identify trends and drive service improvements

  • Manage complaints and disputes applying clear communication and a pragmatic customerfocused approach

You have

  • Strong experience in leasehold property or estate management including working closely with managing agents or external partners

  • Knowledge of social housing or a clear track record of managing complex customer and/or agent relationships in a regulated environment

  • Confidence interpreting leases legal documents and contractual terms and applying them in realworld situations

  • Experience monitoring contracts and service performance with the confidence to challenge where standards arent met

  • The ability to work independently set direction and bring clarity in a new or evolving environment

  • CIH Level 3 (Competence and Conduct for Social Housing) or a willingness to study towards it with our support

The practical bits

  • Youll work Monday to Friday with flexibility built in to meet the needs of our customers and you!
  • Hybrid role with minimum 2 days in the office or in the region (we have offices in central London Portsmouth and Reading) and the rest from home
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay for this)
  • Willingness to travel across the region to meet colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes. Well pay for your mileage
