Position Details
Position: Housekeeper
Pay and Benefits
- $5000 Sign on bonus (paid out in increments)
- Pay range: $16 - $21 per hour.
- Scheduled Days/Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with every other weekend required.
- Benefit eligibility begins after 30 days of employment including insurance and paid time off (PTO).
- Additional Pay: $2.00 extra per hour in lieu of benefits.
Position Purpose and Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility to ensure it is safe clean and presentable. This role is essential for upholding our standards of hygiene and environmental care.
Essential Functions
- Dust all assigned areas and items.
- Dry mop all areas.
- Empty and clean trash cans replacing liners as needed.
- Clean all bathroom fixtures.
- Clean walls as directed.
- Clean chrome fixtures as instructed.
- Remove and properly dispose of all floor debris.
- Report needed repairs or light bulb replacements.
- Maintain a safe environment and report hazards.
- Report accidents or incidents immediately.
- Understand and use emergency equipment when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Interact cordially with residents peers and others.
- Participate in educational programs as required.
- Uphold LSCs mission vision values and customer service standards.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Ability to read write and understand instructions.
- Experience: Familiarity with cleaning and housekeeping concepts and standards.
- Skills/Abilities: Good visual acuity and effective communication.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
Preferences (Optional)
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous environmental or housekeeping experience preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
- Ability to climb small step ladders stoop and bend at the waist repeatedly.
- Occasional outdoor exposure.
- Possible exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Exposure to cleaning solvents and chemicals.
