About the Role

As anOperations Managerin Santa Clara CA youll lead a high-performing team and oversee daily operations safety compliance and customer satisfaction. This is a strategic leadership role with a clear path to higher-level management within 2 years.

What Youll Do

• Lead and supervise work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.

• Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing or assignments as needed.

• Partner with the District Manager to manage budgets and P&L performance.

• Develop and mentor frontline supervisors and build a strong leadership pipeline.

• Conduct field inspections to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence.

• Address customer concerns and ensure high service standards.

• Oversee compliance with environmental OSHA and local permitting regulations.

• Set and execute short- and long-term operational goals.

• Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Experience directly managing union employees is required.

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree strongly preferred.

• 5 years of leadership experience in a dynamic people-driven environment.

• Experience in waste services logistics or heavy equipment operations is a plus.

• Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems.

• Willingness to relocate for future promotional opportunities.
