Job Summary
The Role
North Coast Container is looking for a handson Assistant Plant Manager to help lead daytoday manufacturing operations while reinforcing a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement. This role is designed for a visible shopfloorfocused leader who partners closely with the Plant Manager and production teams to keep operations running safely efficiently and on standard.
The Assistant Plant Manager spends the majority of their time on the floor-coaching teams reinforcing standard work supporting inventory and materials flow and driving lean improvements. You will play a key role in safety compliance employee training and problem solving while helping ensure North Coast Container continues to deliver reliable highquality packaging solutions to our customers.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in operations leading by example and contributing directly to plant performance in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
What Youll Do
- Be a daily presence on the shop floor leading safety quality and operations
- Support OSHA compliance safety programs and incident follow-up
- Help manage inventory materials flow and cycle counts
- Lead and support lean and continuous improvement projects
- Create update and audit standard work and plant procedures
- Coordinate and deliver safety forklift DOT and operational training
- Support local logistics and transportation needs as required
What Were Looking For
- 12 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading or supervising production or crossfunctional teams
- Working knowledge of OSHA lean tools and inventory systems
- Comfortable training employees and documenting standard work
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (AX a plus)
Preferred:
OSHA 30 forklift certification DOT awareness Lean/Six Sigma exposure
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be on your feet most of the shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
