Project Manager Product & Process Improvement


Kitchener ON Canada

The Project Manager Product & Process Improvement is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering initiatives that improve product quality manufacturing efficiency and automation across Sonovas operations. This role partners closely with engineering teams and manufacturing sites to identify opportunities for process optimization and deliver projects that support continuous improvement innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and product value chains to identify improvement opportunities across quality delivery cost and innovation

  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives within manufacturing engineering

  • Manage cross-functional projects and ensure key deliverables are achieved on time

  • Support product transfer projects including vendor transfers insourcing outsourcing and dual sourcing

  • Collaborate with New Product Introduction teams to support successful product launches

  • Participate in Kaizen activities and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Develop optimize and implement manufacturing technologies and processes

  • Conduct process analysis failure analysis and risk assessments to improve production performance

More about you:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (robotics materials science process engineering mechanical engineering physics microtechnology or related field)

  • 5 years of engineering experience improving complex manufacturing processes

  • Experience leading automation projects and implementing manufacturing improvements

  • Experience working in regulated environments such as medical device automotive or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex technical problems

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

Pay Range: $73K to $102K
