Material Handler

Summary:
Supports conveying fabrication and sprocket manufacturing by keeping materials stocked removing scrap and trash and maintaining efficient production flow.

Schedule: Monday Thursday Hours: 5:00AM-3:30PM

Hourly Range: $20 - $22/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver raw materials components and consumables to workstations.
• Remove scrap metal trash empty bins and packaging waste from all departments.
• Move WIP and finished parts between fabrication machining assembly and shipping.
• Replenish welding wire hardware grinding discs lubricants and packaging supplies.
• Maintain pointofuse inventory and communicate shortages.
• Operate forklifts pallet jacks carts and overhead cranes safely.
• Support 6S and maintain clean organized work areas.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 4050 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods.
• Forklift and/or crane certification (or ability to become certified).
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production areas and prioritize material needs.
• Basic understanding of fabrication machining or assembly is a plus.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 13 years warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 25 lbs. frequently to constantly work in a shop/production environment.

Preferred

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 6S practices.
• Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area.
