Accounting Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Supervisor to lead daily accounting operations within an insurance brokerage environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong insurance accounting experience a solid understanding of agency accounting processes and the ability to keep workflows organized accurate and efficient. This individual will support financial operations provide team leadership and partner with leadership on reporting and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an accounting team supporting accounts payable accounts receivable and general accounting functions
• Oversee agency-bill and direct-bill accounting including reconciliations and cash application
• Ensure accuracy across premium payables and receivables commissions and carrier and vendor payments
• Manage month-end close reporting and account reconciliations
• Identify process gaps resolve inefficiencies and improve accounting workflows
• Partner with leadership to support financial visibility and operational decision-making
• Maintain accurate organized accounting processes within a fast-paced insurance brokerage environment

Qualifications/Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• CPA preferred
• Strong background in insurance accounting ideally within an agency or brokerage environment
• Hands-on experience with Applied Epic including Epic Accounting
• Prior experience managing or leading an accounting team
• Comfortable operating in a player-coach capacity
• Detail-oriented organized and able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment

Compensation Package

• Salary range: $85000 - $100000
