Sr. Data Engineer, WWOS Tech

Were looking for an engineer with deep expertise in designing developing and maintaining large databases data warehouses and data lakes.

What does it take to succeed in this role
You need to be creative responsible and able to dive deep into emerging technologies. You need to take the lead on the design implementation and successful delivery of large-scale significantly complex or critical database solutions with a long-term impact on a product technology and architecture. Your work demonstrates significant creativity and high judgment. Your solutions benefit the software and database communities at large. Your designs not only meet business requirements but have also prove to be robust stable scalable and adaptable over time. You are accountable for the quality of architecture design & implementation of your systems. You are an active consultant to the software teams and data science teams in your organization. You leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior art in your design decision. You effectively research and benchmark our technology against other competing systems in the industry.

Our customers are innovators and you will have the chance to work with them to understand their challenges and design new offerings. Together well shape not just our own products but the direction of the industry.

- 5 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python Java Scala or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering analytics mathematics statistics IT or equivalent

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop Hive Spark EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
