Requirements

The ideal candidate is either working at a trading firm where you are building models around event-driven strategies or utilizing alternative data; (2) or you are coming from a top technology firm using large data sets to build models.

Expert-level experience and knowledge developing predictive models using Python.

PhD or Masters in a related field.

Strong technical programing/engineering skills along with solid foundational mathematics skills with the ability to pass multiple technical interview rounds.

Compensation

$600000 - $Total Compensation depending on level of experience.

Whats the Job

As a Data Scientist on their new and growing data science team you will be developing machine learning models focused on event-driven strategies to support the quantitative trading and research efforts of different teams within the company. You will be building models end-to-end using your advanced technical and programming skills.

Your work will be used to create trading strategies and insights to power their quantitative research and trading. They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills since you will be working closely with various stakeholders including Quantitative Researchers and Quantitative Developers to understand their needs and translate them into working models and products to power their initiatives.

They are investing heavily into this area and are attracting many of the worlds top data science and AI talent to their team so you will be surrounded by great talent. They are also committed to investing heavily into the tools and infrastructure needed to be a leader in this space.

Location

This role requires you to work out of their Miami office five days a week. They do cover relocation expenses if you are looking to relocate.

Interview Process
