In this executive role youll lead enterprise-wide financial planning budgeting forecasting and risk management while overseeing accounting reporting and compliance functions. Youll work closely with the CEO Board of Directors and senior leaders to translate complex financial information into clear actionable guidance that supports smart decision-making and sound governance. What Were Looking For

- Advanced financial analysis modeling forecasting and scenario-planning skills.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting internal controls financial reporting cash flow management and reserve planning.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Excellent leadership interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to influence decisions build trust and collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high-level priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound problem-solving risk-assessment and decision-making skills.
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration public administration nonprofit management or a related field required.
- Masters degree in business finance accounting public administration or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of advanced education and executive-level relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in finance accounting business strategy or related executive management roles.
- Significant experience leading financial planning budgeting forecasting cash management and organizational financial strategy.
- Experience overseeing accounting operations and using financial information to guide executive and Board-level decision-making.
- Experience in nonprofit social enterprise public-sector affordable housing healthcare or similarly mission-driven and operationally complex environments strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting strategic growth initiatives financing strategies business partnerships or other enterprise-level business planning efforts preferred.
- Experience presenting to Boards Finance Committees lenders investors and other external stakeholders preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position and the starting annual salary range is $175000 - $200000.

Work Location
While the Vice President of Finances work may be largely performed from home the person in this role is also expected to maintain a presence at our main office located at 307 Cumberland Avenue Portland Maine.
