Behavior TechnicianBehavior Therapist (ABA)

Discover Hope is looking for Behavior Technicians to provide Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in home and/or community-based settings. We offer initial and ongoing solid and professional training and the chance to work in a highly rewarding field. Current openings:
Part-time and Full Timepositions available Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat 9am-3pm. We are looking for long term candidates (1 year minimum); internships temporary or short-term positions are not available.

BT Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 individualized behavior therapy in childs home or community settings
• Complete necessary daily data collection
• Follow treatment and behavior plans as written
• Attend staff and/or team meetings as requested
• Communicate effectively with all team members
• Lift up to 50 pounds run squat sit on the floor etc.
• Have reliable transportation and travel to multiple work sites
• Provide proof of valid driver license and current auto insurance
• Pass background/fingerprint clearance through DOJ and FBI
• Provide proofof negative TB and the following vaccinations: Heb B (can be declined) Tdap (can be declined) MMR and Varicella
• Complete CPR training (provided by the company)

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential(training provided by the company) orBoard Certified Autism Technician (BCAT)
• To be at least 18 years oldand have a High School diploma(some college/Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferably in psychology early childhood education/development or related field preferred)
• One or more years of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Work with children on the floor or at small tables
• Demonstrate good judgment decision-making and communication skills
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing bilingual is a plus

• Pay $25-$30/hour
• Paid drive time between client locations
