About the Role
Aegis Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Administration Officer to engage with doctors and coordinate credentialing and recredentialing of senior medical practitioners (including VMOs and Staff Specialists). This role is ideal for someone with a background in healthcare administration or credentialling who thrives in a fast paced detail focused environment. You will play a key role in coordinating clinician credentialling supporting governance committees and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
You will support the Chief Medical Officer and contribute to the effective delivery of medical governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a high standard of communication and engagement with all doctors including VMOs
Coordinate end-to-end credentialling and recredentialling processes.
Maintain and monitor clinician compliance documentation (AHPRA insurance clearances etc.)
Ensure accurate and up to date records in credentialling system and registers and maintain compliance.
Conduct credentialling audits and prepare reports.
Provide secretariat support to various governance Committees such as the Credentialing Committee Medical Advisory Committee Clinical Governance Committee and Medication Safety Committee
Assist with medical recruitment including job advertising.
Provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Medical Officer.
Support medical education events GP liaison activities and doctor related social functions
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong experience in medical administration including credentialling.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Knowledge of healthcare standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong computer skills and data management experience.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Desirable:
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Experience using credentialling or clinical systems.
Experience with supporting GP medical education events GP liaison activities and doctor related social functions
Requirements
Full working rights in Australia.
National Police Clearance.
Ability to meet credentialling and compliance requirements.
