Senior Civil Designer | Anaheim, CA

IMEG is hiring a Senior Civil Designer in Anaheim CA to lead the delivery of large and highly complex civil engineering projects as a project manager or lead this role youll provide project direction advanced engineering analysis design and implementation oversight and technical guidance to help achieve positive client outcomes. Youll also support projects within budget mentor and train team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design efforts based on written scope for large highly complex projects

• Create detailed designs specifications and calculations using engineering software/tools in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards

• Perform site assessments and develop detailed analysis and technical reports

• Partner with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information effectively

• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication

• Conduct in-process reviews of calculations specifications and project correspondence

• Implement IMEG quality control processes to meet IMEG industry and client quality standards

• Provide technical training and mentoring; review work by others as needed

• Support resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staff

• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance including interpretation and application of state and local design criteria

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals

• Participate in project interviews and project presentations

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required

• 10 years of experience minimum required 12 preferred in the civil engineering consulting industry OR

• Associates degree or certificate in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred

• 14 years of experience minimum required 16 preferred in the civil engineering consulting or construction industry

• Lead the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools to create detailed designs specifications and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards

• Strong training mentoring and leadership skills

• Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise

• Ability to sell work and develop client relationships

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Eagerness to adapt to new challenges

• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook

• Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

State of California Salary Range $100000. - $130000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
