Qualifications
General Description
The primary responsibility of the Credentialing Specialist position is to facilitate the timely credentialing of applicable staff. They will work with Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) and private panels for credentialing purposes.
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position. Must have reliable transportation a valid drivers license
and automobile insurance which meets Options requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word and Excel) and internet usage
is required. Will be required to learn our Electronic Client Records (ECR) system. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
including technical writing abilities.
Options requires that all staff have respectful open unbiased and accepting attitude toward clients their families and other staff.
Qualifications
Ability to safeguard client protected health information; maintain confidentiality when applicable
Demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Ability to produce accurate work while meeting required deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Behavioral Health credentials and qualifications (OAR )
Experience with OHAs Medicaid ID application process and Medicare enrollment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Credentialing
Facilitate credentialing of new hires with all eligible panels
Facilitate re-Credentialing of applicable staff with CCOs and private panels
Initiate communication with potential new private panels
Assist in new panel applications as needed
Verify degrees licenses school accreditations exclusions and certifications for applicable staff
Maintain staff credentials in ECR
Maintain a Credentialing Panel Roster for all applicable staff
Assist applicable staff in set up with a CAQH NPPES and DMAP
Participate in private panel committee teleconferences
Working Conditions
Office environment
Vision sufficient to read client records related documentation and for driving
Extended periods of time sitting at work station and phone work
Requires ability to sustain mental concentration and maintain attention to details. Extended periods of focus and attention and computer use are frequently required.
Ability to manage the stresses of working with divergent goals / priorities of various team members.
