Leidos Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Mid- Level Research Scientist to join a talented team within the RF Systems Portfolio. Candidates in this role will be a part of a diverse team of scientists engineers and analysts supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high-fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Candidates will be expected to set-up test analyze and evaluate radar and weapon system performance using modeling and simulation of air defense systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support M&S configuration testing and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities

• Demonstrate strong mathematical analytical and problem-solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations

• Work with a team to find solutions to novel complex and non-traditional questions

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Math Physics plus4 8 years of prior relevant experience or masters with 2 6 years of prior relevant experience. or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2 years of demonstrated performance in M&S activities

• Proficient in programming (Python preferably MATLAB etc.)

• Must be a US citizen possess and able to maintain an active Secret Clearance

• Must be a resident of Huntsville AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville AL area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess and able to maintain an active Top-Secret Clearance

• Radar/Air Defense Systems M&S Experience

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Math Physics or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution

• Experience with large military networks (IBCS CEC C2BMC etc)

• Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search track discrimination etc)

• Experience working in a Linux operating environment
