Position Summary
The inpatient psychiatric ARNP is responsible for evaluating diagnosing and directing treatment for adult patients with psychiatric disorders admitted to acute inpatient level of diagnose and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalizationConduct suicide and violence risk assessmentsFormulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plansPrescribe and monitor psychotropic medicationsOrder laboratory tests as indicatedManage acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventionsLead treatment team meetings and coordinate activity of the interdisciplinary team including primary care providers social workers RNs and other team membersConsult with primary care providers and other clinicians to facilitate evaluation and treatment of medical conditionsCollaborate with Social Workers and Court Evaluators to assess readiness for discharge and formulate discharge plansDocument in the electronic medical recordRequirementsA graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of active Washington state RN license without sanctions or restrictionsState NP license Current CME hours to maintain licensureAdult Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse PractitionersRegistration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid ServicesAn active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbout Yakima Memorial Hospital

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salary medical dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $96.00 - $96.00 USD. However pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants including but not limited to: skill set level of experience and certification(s) and/or education.
