AI Agent Developer

Fortinet is a fast-growing and dynamic cybersecurity company with a growing and hard-working IT business application are looking for a Junior AI Agent Developer to join our growing this role you will help design build and maintain intelligent AI agents that automate workflows interact with users and integrate with internal and external systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about artificial intelligence automation and software development.

JobResponsibilities:

• Assist in developing and deploying AI agents using modern frameworks and APIs
• Collaborate with business users and senior developers to design agent workflows and decision logic
• Integrate AI agents with databases APIs and third-party services
• Write clean maintainable secure and well-documented code
• Test debug and optimize AI agent performance
• Monitor agent behavior and improve reliability and accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python JavaScript or TypeScript
• Familiarity with REST APIs and web services
• Prompt engineering and evaluation techniques
• Understanding of basic AI/ML concepts (e.g. NLP prompt engineering or automation workflows)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar AI agent development platforms
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI/LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI Anthropic or similar)
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git
• Experience building chatbots or automation tools

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112000-$160000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits including medical dental vision life and disability insurance 401(k) 11 paid holidays vacation time and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications experience and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Companys discretion.
