Job Summary

The Logistics Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the receipt and distribution of goods within the supply chain. This role involves managing a team to ensure efficient and accurate handling of inbound shipments and outbound deliveries optimizing logistics processes and maintaining high standards of compliance. The Team Lead collaborates with warehouse staff transportation providers and other departments to meet operational goals improve workflow and deliver exceptional customer service. Strong leadership problem-solving skills and logistics expertise are essential to drive continuous improvement and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Lead & supervise the transportation logistics team providing guidance training & performance management

2. Assist in budgeting and forecasting transportation expenses

3. Reporting monthly expenses

4. Reporting monthly order progress

5. Analyze transportation data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.

6. Collaborate with warehouse inventory and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics operations

7. Carrier Management (onboarding rates & service negotiation ect)

8. Container forecasting

9. Ocean Freight negotiations

10. Resolve transportation-related issues and delays promptly

11. Month-end shipping management

12. Compliance Management (auditing and disputing charges ensuring minimal infractions)

13. Implement continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field preferred

2. Proven experience in transportation logistics with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role

3. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and routing software

4. Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities

6. Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance requirements

7. Takes initiative & has a strong sense of urgency.

8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
