Seeking an experienced onsite Facilities HVAC Technician
The Facilities HVAC Technician demonstrates the ability to follow and apply verbal and written instructions using logical problemâsolving to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and systems prioritize multiple maintenance tasks and maximize system performance. Knowledgeable in sourcing and ordering HVAC parts with the ability to fabricate components as needed to support nonâstandard or urgent repairs.
- Utilize skills in millwright electrical and electronics to install modify assemble and maintain equipment and associated supply systems.
- Accomplish tasks by effectively connecting routing and assembling internal / external systems and components including but not limited to gearboxes hydraulic pneumatic HVAC electrical electronic programmable logic controls and chemical.
- Analyze equipment or system to determine malfunction. Decide on proper repair action. Completes repairs by removing repairing and replacing all necessary components of the equipment or system. Discuss findings with area operators leadership engineers and other technicians as needed to find immediate and long-term solutions.
- Effectively maintain all records of repairs calibrations tests preventative maintenance spare parts and procedures.
- Effectively maintain proficiency in the following skills: Millwright hydraulics pneumatics pipe fitting machining welding electrical electronics and programmable logic systems.
- Demonstrates effective housekeeping in the area of work and shop.
- Observes all safety rules and regulations.
- Acquire and maintain the necessary State / Federal licenses / certificates as needed for certain job tasks.
- Participates in and completes training as prescribed by corporate requirements and the immediate leadership.
- Trains other technicians cell leaders technical operators and new employees as prescribed by the immediate leadership.
- Assists in the analysis and frequently works independently in repair and preventative maintenance.
- Works independently on analysis and repair and assists other levels.
- Responsible for understanding the hazards in the workplace including hazardous waste handling and awareness. Required to remain up to date on applicable trainings.

Position Requirements:
Minimum 2 4 years as an HVAC Technician II in the facilities department or 4-6 years of experience in related field. Requires a post-secondary certification in Industrial field or Equivalent work lieu of degree provide proof of course completion from an accredited college or certifications related to HVAC field.
Must be able to read and interpret safety rules instructions operating procedures blueprints and maintenance manuals. Must be to write routine reports communicate effectively with internal and external customers and interpret engineering drawings with some assistance. Proficiency in basic math in both Metric and English units and the ability to compute ratios percentages and interpret graphs and charts. Familiarity in software programs such as Word Excel and SAP.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. Occasionally exposed to toxic acidic or caustic chemicals wet and / or humid conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but can occasionally be at a high level. Frequently required to perform work in a cleanroom environment.
To ensure a safe work environment while meeting the physical demands of the job you must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Ability to sit / stand / walk / bend / twist / crouch / kneel / climb as required for various periods of time
- Ability to lift/carry / push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to continuously stand and walk the entire shift
- Required to reach and to manipulate using hands and fingers
- Occasionally required to wear cleanroom attire personal protective equipment and/or breathing devices
