Please note: This is a contract for a 14 month term.
Work Arrangement: This is ahybrid positionrequiring candidates to workon-site at least 2 days per weekat our designated office location. The remaining days may be worked remotely subject to team and business needs.
Job Summary
The Cash Application Specialist/ Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the daily reconciliation of all payments received from patients and 3rd party providers while also creating invoices for the daily Adjudication of pharmacies. The transactions entered and reconciled are in Kroll System. The individual is required to work individually as well as in a team setting.
Specific Responsibilities
- Apply 3rd party (Adjudicators) in Kroll by applying into individual patients files.
- Process Pre-Authorized payments received and apply in Kroll.
- Responsible for the application of credit card payments received to patient accounts.
- Daily sales reconciliation in Excel with Kroll Transactions.
- Reconcile and process 3rd party providers account payments.
- Responsible for approved application of write-offs for discount and bad debts.
- Maintain paper audit trail for cash/payment processing.
- Process all approved adjustments to patient accounts.
- Keep the Supervisor informed of daily cash receipt status.
- Contribute and implement department process improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Communicate to relevant parties any over payments and outstanding invoices to maintain sound cash flow.
- Perform backup functions as required within department.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Typically requires 3 years of related experience.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in pharmacy cash processing using Kroll system is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Deadline driven with ability to multi-task highly organized and solid time management skills
- Self-motivated and strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently with confidence to take appropriate action on issues
