Job Summary
Daniels Health is hiring a Hazardous Waste Coordinator in Des Moines IAa role that blends physical work with administrative precision. Youll be responsible for safely handling labeling and organizing hazardous waste while also managing documentation audits and compliance reporting. This position requires regular lifting (up to 40 lbs) attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.

What you will do
- Respond to hazardous waste inquiries and resolve customer issues via Salesforce with accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
- Maintain inventory systems audit paperwork and ensure proper labeling and segregation of waste.
- Support all customer service and administrative functionsrelated to hazardous waste logistics including preparing and closing manifests creating route books scheduling with third-party incinerators and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Serve as the first point of contact for hospitals and healthcare facilities via phone and email
- Investigate and resolve customer requests and complaints using Salesforce
- Physically handle move and inspect hazardous waste containers; lift up to 40 lbs and perform regular facility audits.
- Complete regulatory and customer documentation ensuring compliance and process accuracy.
- Communicate with plant management on service issues and collaborate with the National Hazardous Waste Specialist on improvements.
- Manage container inventory order labels and uphold environmental and safety standards
What we are looking for
- 1 year of experience in Customer Service/Administrative role
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment including lifting up to 40 lbs standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks in a warehouse or plant setting
- Industry experience within operational environments and production platforms is ideal
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills to be able to efficiently report
- Salesforce experience is preferred but not required
- Proven experience within process improvement

$23 - $24 an hour
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
