About the Role:

The Mechanical Engineer supports the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for avionics and electronic systems. This role focuses on creating enclosures chassis and mounting hardware as well as supporting electronics packaging and system closely with electrical systems and manufacturing teams the Mechanical Engineer contributes to both new product development and sustaining engineering. Responsibilities include developing CAD models and drawings supporting analysis and testing and assisting production teams with troubleshooting and design role requires strong mechanical design fundamentals attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

What Youll Do:

Mechanical Design

• Design mechanical components including enclosures chassis brackets and mounting hardware.

• Develop 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings.

Electronics Packaging

• Support packaging of electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards.

• Design mounting solutions for connectors circuit boards and thermal components.

Analysis and Testing

• Support thermal and structural analysis of mechanical designs.

• Assistwith environmental testing including vibration and temperature testing.

Manufacturing Support

• Support production teams with mechanical troubleshooting and design improvements.

Documentation

• Maintain mechanical drawings BOMs and engineering documentation.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related discipline.

• 3-7 years of mechanical design experience ideally in aerospace defence electronics or other high-reliability products.

• Proficiencywith CAD and PDM tools such as Autodesk Inventor Vault SolidWorks or similar including drawing creation and release.

• Experience in electronics packaging design for manufacture and assembly GD&T tolerance stack analysis and designing for environmental requirements.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience supporting products through prototype verification qualification and production release.

• Experience working with suppliers and production teams to resolve design manufacturing and build issues.

• Strong ownership sound engineering judgement and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Base salary range of $105000 - $125000 per annum. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors including but not limited to location skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
