What you will be doing
To support our ongoing growth PROK is searching for an experienced Work Health Safety and Environment (WHSE) Coordinator to join our team.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Health Safety and Environment effort for the site in conjunction with line management and be responsible for ensuring Safety Systems and legislative compliance is implemented maintained continuously improved and promoted within the site.
Daily duties will include however are not limited to:
- Champion safe work practices and support the rollout of key HSEQ procedures across site.
- Help drive continuous improvement by managing corrective actions and supporting audits.
- Support risk assessments maintain the site risk register and promote strong safety behaviours.
- Keep our ISO systems ( 9001) on track with the Quality and Safety team.
- Create and update simple clear SOPs with Production and Quality.
- Coordinate training maintain competency records and deliver engaging inductions.
- Provide practical safety guidance on the floor and ensure compliance with site standards.
- Investigate incidents identify root causes and help implement preventative solutions.
- Conduct regular safety and housekeeping inspections working closely with HSRs.
- Manage returntowork processes and support the H&S Committee with accurate reporting
Who are you
Youre a safetyminded professional with a solid foundation in WHS (Cert IV or higher) and handson experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. You understand how HSEQ management systems work and youre confident in areas like risk assessment incident investigation WHS consultation and returntowork processes.
Ideally youve been exposed to heavy industry risks things like electrical safety isolation confined spaces mobile plant or working at heights and ICAM training is a bonus.
You communicate clearly enjoy working with people at all levels and youre organised proactive and ready to make an impact.
