A fantastic opportunity with a privately owned surveying company who work across local civil infrastructure and main roads projects across QLD. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals this company has a long history in the industry with ongoing success with repeat clients.
With continued success and a strong pipeline of work we are currently seeking an experienced Civil Surveyor to join the team to work across major DTMR projects within Southeast QLD. This Surveyor will be responsible for providing accurate surveying services to support the successful delivery of earthworks drainage services structures and major road this role you will require exceptional planning and organisational skills ensuring precision in layout levels and site planning.
Reporting into the Survey Manager your responsibilities will include
- Perform general field surveys for construction roadworks and earthmoving operations
- Supervise and lead surveying team by providing guidance assigning tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments including GPS total stations & laser scanning
- Interpret engineering plans ensure accurate transfer of data /design information to site teams
- Prepare and review survey data maps and data visualisations reports and documentation
- Liaising/planning with construction teams for site survey requirements
- Maintain and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring the adherence to survey quality procedures and leading a culture of safety and productivity across the project.
The successful individual must have 5 years local Australian civil infrastructure experience preferably across TMR projects and working on large civil construction projects. Proficient in using survey equipment and software (Trimble Leica or similar). Experience with 12D or 12 Synergy and using modern survey instrumentation. Strong communication skills leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of surveyors. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Surveying or a related discipline.
