• Adheres to Aecons Policy & Procedures Manual
• Provide day-to-day leadership mentorship and direction to a team of designers technicians and junior engineers
• Assign prioritize and monitor design workload to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines
• Provide design training and guidance to junior staff along with the Project Engineer
• Complete or review design calculations and drawings that satisfy all applicable code and regulatory requirements
• Assist in thepreparation of schedules estimates and construction packages
• Experience withproject management shall be considered an asset
• Establish andmaintain relationships with key clients
• Strong presentation skills both written and oral are considered a requirement
• Strong computer skills required experience with AutoCAD software MicroStation and 3-D software an asset
• Conduct performance feedback support professional development and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the design team
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control standards across all design deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including construction engineering and project management to ensure design alignment with project goals

• 5 years experience with hydro design
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or College as an E.I.T. with the P.E.O is an asset
• Experience in engineering consulting shall be considered an asset
• Detailed experience in engineering design permitting and processes
• Specific technical experience with utility services construction preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred; demonstrated ability to manage and mentor technical staff is an asset
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities delegate effectively and oversee the delivery of high-quality design outputs
• Strong computer skills required experience with AutoCAD software and Microstation an asset
• Proven ability to take initiative and leadership
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to travel for projects
